Push Ups For Men & Women

Push ups have always been regarded as a military exercise, used for men training in the army, inmates in prisons and boxers training for a fight. That’s a cliché that should be eliminated from your mind, because push ups are one of the best exercises for men AND women.

Women should practice push ups on a regular, if not daily basis to build upper body strength.

The push up is one of the best exercises for overall fitness.

Push ups train the chest muscles, the triceps, the biceps and back. They’re a great overall exercise for the chest, they benefit the abdominal muscles, and they’re much easier on the joints than other chest exercises. As an added bonus, a push up workout is great for cardiovascular health and circulation.

Women especially need to practice more push ups because they lack upper body strength.

Yet, many women are afraid to practice push ups because they think they will develop a large, unattractive “manly” body! Or they’re afraid of getting started because they think that push ups are “too hard” for women.

If you start doing push ups everyday, you won’t look like hulk! But you’ll develop a nice, enviable strong and sexy body.

If you can practice push ups everyday for the next 3 months, I guarantee you that your body will completely transform.

The other thing about push ups to keep in mind is that there is more than one type of push up! There are literally hundreds of different variations on the traditional, military push up.

What I recommend you do is start with a low rep of push ups a day. Do the easy “push up on your knee” type, and the work on being able to do four rounds of those

Then increase the types and varieties of push ups you practice.
