I started Terrific Fitness specifically to help people like you learn more about what you can eat, and how exercise plays a part, in achieving a body that you will love.
I struggled with weight my whole life.
As a teenager I suffered from Anorexia and had issues with food growing up, believing it was the enemy; the less I ate the better I would look, or so I thought!
After having my first child I gained 33 kg which I just couldn’t shake. I tried every diet for years. I would lose the weight then I would find it again. I then had my second child and gained more weight.
I suffered depression, anxiety and had a stack load of medical problems.
I have exercised my whole life. I have always loved exercise, but it wasn’t helping me enough. I knew there had to be more to it.
So in 2010 I decided to get serious about my weight loss, and decided to become a Personal Trainer. After qualifying as a PT I then attended a number of different Nutrition courses including a certificate from “The Sports Dieticians of Australia”. I have also read books upon books on nutrition and exercise, articles, medical reports and journals, to get to the bottom of what will help people lose weight permanently.
I experimented on myself and willing friends.
